The National Council for Population & Development (NCPD) is a semi-autonomous agency under the National Treasury and Economic Planning, tasked with shaping Kenya’s population policies, coordinating research, and advocating for sustainable development. Formerly part of the Ministry of Home Affairs, NCPD plays a key role in national planning frameworks, stakeholders engagement, and family planning initiatives.

Eligibility & General Requirements for NCPD Recruitment

Applicants are expected to meet the following criteria:

  • Kenyan citizen (National ID/Passport required)
  • Resident in Kenya
  • KCSE minimum grade of D+
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ICT tools
  • Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution (valid clearances)

Role-specific requirements:

  • Directors: Bachelor’s degree plus relevant postgraduate qualification and experience in policy/administration
  • Principal ICT Officer: Degree in IT, 3+ years supervisory experience
  • Driver II: KCSE D+, valid Class BCE license, defensive driving and first-aid certifications, with over 6 years of driving experience.
  • Customer Care Assistant III: Customer service skills, acceptable communication and relationship management
