Federal Fire Service (FFS) Recruitment 2025: The Federal Fire Service (FFS), operating under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), has launched its 2025 recruitment exercise alongside other paramilitary bodies. The drive seeks qualified individuals across multiple cadres, from frontline firefighters to supervisory roles, aimed at ensuring effective fire and rescue operations nationwide. Available Cadres & Roles

FFS recruitment covers three primary cadres:

  1. Superintendent Cadre (CONPASS 08 – 09)
    • Assistant Superintendent I (CONPASS 09): Degree holders in Law, Mechanical/Civil/Chemical/Water-related disciplines, specific to FFS.
    • Assistant Superintendent II (CONPASS 08): HND/B.Sc holders across four services, including FFS.
  2. Inspectorate Cadre (CONHESS 06 – 07)
    • Includes roles like Senior Inspector of Fire and Inspector of Fire, open to registered nurses or NCE/ND holders.
  3. Assistant Cadre (CONPASS 03 – 04)
    • Assistant II/III: For SSCE holders with 4 to 5 credits across at most two sittings. Roles include general duty staff and technical/artisan positions with valid trade or driving licenses.



Eligibility Criteria for Federal Fire Service (FFS) Recruitment

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Nigerian by birth, aged 18 to 35
  • Height: Male 1.65 m (chest 0.87 m); Female 1.60 m
  • No criminal records or financial embarrassment; must be physically and mentally fit
  • Educational qualifications by cadre:
    • SSCE (4 to 5 credits) for Assistant Cadre
    • NCE/ND for Inspectorate Cadre
    • Degree/HND for Superintendent Cadre
    • Medical degree required for Superintendent of Corrections roles (not FFS-specific).
  • Computer literacy is an added advantage

How to Apply for Federal Fire Service (FFS) Recruitment

  1. Visit the official portal: recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng starting 14 July 2025.
  2. Register with a valid email and phone number.
